There are regular tours at The Roman Baths throughout the year, which have included The Roman Bath’s by Torch Light after dark. A wonderful experience, step back in time to see how this magnificent building would have looked centuries earlier. The Roman Baths were perfectly positioned by the Romans to make use of warm water from local natural hot water springs in Bath. These waters originally fell as rain on the Mendip Hills, seeping through the limestone until a geothermal reaction took place, heating the water to between 65 to 95 degrees Celsius. The heated waters then rise under pressure to the surface at weak points within the Limestone. | ![]() | ||||||||||
